Destination work is the specialty, not the exception.
We are based near Des Moines, Iowa, and we travel for most of what we shoot. Beaches, mountains, countryside estates, and cities that take a plane to reach.
Booking a wedding somewhere you have never been means trusting people you have never met. We take that off the table. You meet both of us on a video call long before the trip, we plan the timeline together, and we travel as one unit.
That matters more than it sounds. On the day itself, we already know each other's rhythm, where the other one will be standing, and how to split the light without a conversation about it.
Travel is quoted separately at actual cost, itemized and approved by you before anything is booked. There is no markup on getting us there.
Two people who have been doing this a while.
Story & Still Collective is a partnership between two working wedding creatives who spent years shooting side by side before putting a name on it. Elizabeth Ann runs Elizabeth Ann Photography. Dakota runs Haus of Lyra Creative Studios. This is what we do together.

Elizabeth Ann photographs the things you cannot pose: the squeeze of a shoulder, the laugh that catches someone off guard, the quiet hour nobody put on the schedule. She came up through coordination, which means your timeline holds together once the day actually starts.
She has been photographing weddings for more than five years and books independently through her own studio.

Dakota
Dakota has a decade of commercial production and hundreds of weddings behind him. He builds films around how a day felt rather than the order things happened in, with original scoring and real audio, so you can still hear your partner's voice fifty years from now.
He shoots weddings and commercial film through Haus of Lyra Creative Studios and books independently as well.
